This small organization was struggling to retain valuable employees as larger companies were luring people away with larger salaries.
However, the people who left the company were often asking to return as their salary was larger in the new firm but their take-home pay was less as a result of higher benefit costs.
As such, we implemented our Employee Wage & Benefit Statements and met with employees individually to review the Statements.
The reaction to the Wage & Benefit Statements was overwhelmingly positive as most employees didn’t fully understand the value of the “hidden benefits” provided by the company such as health insurance, life insurance, matching 401(k) payments, etc.
